Wisconsin State Parks to Hold Candlelight Ski, Hike and Snowshoe Events...
As an avid hunter, outdoorsman and nature lover, there's no better way for me to enjoy the Wisconsin outdoors in the long winter months than a hike through the woods on a good pair of snowshoes.  In fluffy snow you can maneuver the woods almost silently on snowshoes giving you the opportunity to view wildlife in it's natural habitat and it's amazing how easy it is to get around even in brushy areas once you get used to walking in snowshoes.  There are few other winter sports that will give you the cardio workout of snowshoes short of cross-country skiing.  So, strap on a pair of snowshoes and check out an event at a Wisconsin State Park near you in the next couple months.  It will help the cold winter seem a little more inviting and you'll get to explore Wisconsin in the process.
